Can I make changes to the plan

We do not offer changes to the floor plan. Northern Building Co. floorplans are very well thoughtout and will suit almost everybody’s needs.

Is there a model I can walk

A model home can be a beautiful thing. Unfortunately, we are not always able to have one to provide solely based on the fact that they sell out quick. Please consult with the sales agent to view available homes.

Will the Northern install my light fixtures or appliances

Our policy prevents us from installing homeowner supplied materials.

I need to sell my house first; can we still go to contract

We typically avoid contingent deals, but will decide on a case by case basis.

Can I use my own mortgage company

While we can not require you to use a specific lender, we do recommend working with our preferred lender. Most homeowners can expect to save $3000 on closing costs using our preferred lender.

If I upgrade a selection, will we get a credit for the standard selection

A credit is not offered if a selection is upgraded. The upgrade price covers all additional time and materials required.

Is it ok if we walk the home during construction

You are more than welcome to walk the home during construction, but we kindly require you to schedule an appointment with your agent. After all, it is an active construction site.

Who do I call if there is any issue with the home after closing

Our homes are built to last. It is not typical to have any issues after closing. If there is an emergency a phone number will be provided during the walk-through for those situations. In the case of a warranty item, you will want to refer to our warranty booklet.

I have an electric vehicle, are you able to install a 60 amp plug in the garage

Northern Building Co. is happy to offer electric car charging installation. We are thrilled to install 60amp plugs for you to easily hook up your car charger.

Do you offer a plug for a generator on the side of the house

Our highly skilled electricians will gladly wire in a transfer switch for a generator. Please refer to our sales agent for pricing and location.

Northern Building Co. likes to be clear with our entire process. That is why we provide a breakdown of when your home will be completed once building permit has been issued. Please note, the design stage and governmental approvals process is outside of our control.
